CITY OF SPARKS BLASTBALL® PROGRAM OFFERS FUNDAMENTALS OF BASEBALL FOR KIDS

Sparks, NV - The Sparks Parks and Recreation Department's BlastBall® program begins next month as an alternative to t-ball. Kids ages 4 to 7 can learn the fundamentals of baseball and softball at the entry level of play, offering an exciting and rewarding experience. The program features fast paced action as participants learn the basics of hitting, throwing, catching, running and fielding. There are no complex rules or set positions, and kids are set up for success – often scoring three or four times a game.

BlastBall!® will be held at the Larry D. Johnson Community Center located at 1200 12th Street, every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. April 6 to May 6. The cost is $36 or $30 for Sparks residents and includes a BlastBall!® T-shirt and picture. Rates are scheduled to increase in April to $42 or $35 for Sparks residents.

Register online at www.sparksrec.com or at the Recreation Office, 98 Richards Way. For more information call 353-2376, or e-mail recinfo@cityofsparks.us.
