NEW BRICKS 4 KIDZ PROGRAM MAKES THE MOST OUT OF PLAYTIME
Sparks, NV - Plastic skyscrapers, aircraft and robots. For kids who enjoy all things Lego and Duplo, the City of Sparks Parks and Recreation Department is offering a unique program. Bricks 4 Kidz uses brick toys to trigger young children's lively imaginations and build their self-confidence. Youths ages 3-12 will assemble one-of-a-kind creations, play games, socialize with friends, and build on their problem solving and critical thinking skills.
The month-long Wednesday classes are split into two sections, one for ages 3-6, and another for ages 7-12. The classes for 3- to 6-year-olds are scheduled for 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. Classes for the 7-12 age group are from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All classes are held at Alf Sorensen Community Center, 1400 Baring Blvd. New sections start at the beginning of each month. Cost: $48 ($40 for Sparks residents). Financial assistance is available for children who cannot otherwise afford to take part in the program.
