UPDATE ON VICTORIAN AVENUE ROAD WORK

Sparks, NV – Victorian Avenue will be closed in both directions between 11th Street and 14th Street from June 1 through July 2, 2010. Victorian Plaza Circle will be used as the primary detour during this time.
Additionally, C Street at the intersection of 10th & C Street is restricted to westbound traffic only. Traffic will be rerouted during this time.
Construction is underway on Phase II of the City's redevelopment project in downtown Sparks. The project will connect two one-way streets from the cinema fountain to Victorian Avenue and install surrounding sidewalk, curb, gutter, and decorative improvements, as well as intersection improvements at 10th Street and C Street. Funding comes from the City's Redevelopment Agency which is restricted by law to redevelopment functions. The project will serve to further attract development of businesses and retailers in downtown Sparks. The project is anticipated to be complete by the end of July.
