Girls in grades 6, 7 and 8 have the opportunity to learn valuable athletic skills during the Dig It Volleyball Winter Break Volleyball Camp. The three-day mini-camp teaches participants the correct skills and techniques of the sport, and provides hands on training with high intensity drills. The camp is held from noon to 3 p.m. on Jan. 4 and 9 a.m. to noon on January 5-6 at the Alf Sorensen Community Center, 1400 Baring Blvd. Cost is $43 or $36 for residents of Sparks. Details 353-2385.
Kids age 12 and under are introduced to the sport of triathlon with kayaking, swimming, biking, and running courses that make their way around the beautiful Sparks Marina Park. Race day registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Marina. Details
