The Committee is comprised of three members. One member of the Committee is appointed by the Nevada Resort Association (NRA). The NRA appointed Stephen Ascuaga of John Ascuaga's Nugget. The other two committee members are city council members and have historically been the chairman and vice chairman of the Sparks Redevelopment Agency. The committee's purpose is to designate funds received from the RSCVA (The Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitor's Authority) to tourism related projects in the City of Sparks.
