Notice of Request for Letters of Interest for a 10.2 Acre Parcel

Redevelopment Agency of the City of Sparks


The Redevelopment Agency of the City of Sparks (“Agency”) is soliciting Letters of Interest for a vacant 10.2 acre parcel (APN 037-020-50, the “Property”) the Agency owns along the east side of Marina Gateway Drive just south of East Prater Way in Sparks, NV.  The Agency is seeking high quality, high assessed value development of the Property that will also create a substantial number of new jobs.  To achieve these goals the Agency is soliciting developers with the interest and ability to initiate development of the Property within two (2) years.


 To receive future consideration for this development opportunity, interested parties must submit a Letter of Interest stating the identity of the company(ies) and/or individual(s) interested in acquiring the Property and identify the principals involved including names, addresses, email addresses and phone numbers of key representatives of each party.  A primary contact must be clearly identified.  The Letter of Interest should also summarize the relevant qualifications of the entity and its principals to undertake development of a property of this size.


One (1) original of the Letter of Interest must be received on or before 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012at:

Electronically transmitted Letters of Interest will be not be considered.


Parties submitting a Letter of Interest by the August 24, 2012 deadline that is responsive to the requirements of this Notice will be invited (via email and telephone on or before August 28, 2012) to submit a preliminary project proposal to the Agency.  The preliminary project proposal will be due on or before September 18, 2012.  


 The Agency has not and will not authorize any real estate professional to act on its behalf and will not pay any real estate commissions or fees in connection with the sale of the property.  If a buyer wishes to be represented by a real estate professional, payment of any fees or commissions must be by separate agreement and outside of escrow for this transaction.


All documents, correspondence, etc. between the Agency and respondents is public information subject to the laws and regulations that govern the Agency.  All expenses related to any respondent’s response to this request, or other expenses incurred during the period of time the Agency is negotiating for disposition of the Property, are the sole obligation and responsibility of the respondent.  The Agency will not, directly or indirectly, assume responsibility for these costs.  The Agency reserves the right to reject any or all responses and to modify or cancel this solictation at any time.
