COMMUNITY OUTREACH EFFORTS

Our Fire Prevention personnel, throughout the year, promote fire safety through special events. In October the department observes Fire Prevention Week. During this week, we provide free public fire safety education presentations to local businesses as requested.  We also host a Pancake Breakfast/Open House at our Headquarters Fire Station where visitors can enjoy a pancake breakfast cooked by our own firefighters, and get a tour of the three story victorian fire station.  Visitors can also view public fire safety education static displays and watch the firefighters demonstrate a vehicle extrication. We participate in various special events such as: Kids Fair, Home Show, Rib Cook-off, Hometowne Christmas and other community events.
