The Sparks Marina Park will be the site for the Scheels Kids' Triathlonon on July 30. The event begins at 8 a.m. (Race day registration begins at 7 a.m.). The race is designed to introduce boys and girls ages 12 and younger to the exciting sport of triathlon -- swimming, biking, running -- in a non-competitive environment.

Following the water portion of the race, participants will bike 1.8 miles around the Marina. The last segment of the race features a .2 (2/10) mile running course along the peninsula.

Family and friends are welcome on the course to cheer on the kids. Parents are also encouraged to join their children for the biking portion of the event.

PLEASE NOTE: Race Day registration begins at 7 a.m. at the Marina.
